July 17th final concert of 2014

July 17th is the final concert of our 2014 season. The concert starts at 7:00 in Atwater Park, where Capitol Drive meets Lake Drive on the lovely shores of Lake Michigan.

First Concert of 2014

Our first concert of the 2014 season is tomorrow Saturday, June 14th!

We start playing at 12:00 in Atwater Park (where Capitol Drive meets Lake Drive in Shorewood, WI.

We are the lunch-time entertainment during the annual Shorewood Men's Club Chicken Bar-B-Que.

Shorewood Concert Band 2014 Season

New Director! New Season!

The Shorewood Concert Band Board of Directors is proud to announce the results of our Director Search.

Starting with the summer of 2014 the new Director of the Shorewood Band will be Mr. Clayton Wachholz.

Clayton Wachholz has been the Director of Bands at Cedarburg High School since 2007 and the Musical Director of the Lakeshore Symphony since 2011. He has held the position of Director of Bands at the International School of Brussels in Belgium, and Director of Bands at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park in Canton, Michigan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan. Traveling extensively he has given educational clinics in England, Holland, Belgium, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Summer Music Clinic where he led concert and jazz bands. In addition to directing, Clay has had more than 25 years experience as a trombone and euphonium performer.

Our all-volunteer band plays a series of four concerts in June and July in Atwater Park in Shorewood, Wisconsin.

This year we will be rehearsing in the band room of the Shorewood Intermediate School from 7 to 9 pm.

The Shorewood Intermediate School is the round building located south of Capitol Drive at 3830 N. Morris Blvd. The band room is located on the second floor at the rear of the building. enter through the door next to the track.

Tuesday July 1st <- because we don't want to practice the day before the concert and the night of the big fireworks
